Mon March 1 1869 Cold. Miss Nancy Martin and Celia Brockway spent the evening here.
Tue March 2 Snowed.
Thur March 4 Cloudy, rained some. Morning went over to Hamburgh with Mother. P.M. Henry came home, has resigned his position as clerk in the Allyn House, where he has been 5 years and 3 months. Inaugration of President U.S. Grant.
Fri March 5 Clear and cold. P.M. Henry & I took a sleigh ride to East Haddam.
Sat March 6 Snowed. Henry & I came home this P.M.
Sun March 7 Clear, cold and windy.
Mon March 8 Clear & cold. Capt.. Brooks and Mr Orrin Miner called on Henry.
Tue March 9 Pleasant. P.M. Ezra Anderson buried.
Wed March 10 A very rainy day. River broke up again.
Thur March 11 Clear & windy. Rained very hard last night and the roads are washed badly. Henry, Archie & I took a ride to Hamburgh. School (-------) here.
Fri March 12 Pleasant. Made Archie a blue flannel suit, blouse and pants. Looks quite like a big boy in it.
Sat March 13 Clear & windy. Frank Wm's called, got upset in a boat. Have a lame back to night.
Sun Mar 14 Bell came home. Am laid up with a lame back. Pleasant.
Mon Mar 15 Snowed. Feel no better.
Tue Mar 16 Clear, but quite cold. Feel little better.
Wed Mar 17 Steamboat made her first trip from N.Y. last night or this morning.
Thur Mar 18 Pleasant. Archie not very well, is broken out with rash. Henry went to Hamburgh.
Fri Mar 19 Pleasant morning. Cloudy afternoon. Father Lord & Willie called here.
Sat Mar 20 Snowed some and rained some in the morning. Cleared off at night. Am about sick wtih a sore throat.
Sun Mar 21 Clear, but rather cold. Feel little better, but did not sit up much. P.M. Henry went to Lyme to go from there to Norwich and Hartford tomorrow.
Mon Mar 22 Clear & cold. Feel little better today. P.M. Edna went to Hamburgh.
Tue Mar 23 Rained most of the day. Henry came home in the evening from Hartford.
Wed Mar 24 Pleasant. Mother sick with a cold. Uncle Jacob & Harry called.
Thur Mar 25 Pleasant. Mother better. Archie not very well & Edna nearly sick. Lewis went to Lyme after our team. I baked some.
Fri Mar 26 A rainy day. "We are all poor miserable creatures."
Sat Mar 27 Very pleasant day. Henry & I went to Hamburgh, took dinner at Mr Munroe Brockway's.
Sun Mar 28 Pleasant. Henry & I went to church this P.M. in Hamburgh. Loss & Eddie came down. Eddie stopped down and Lewis went home with Loss.
Mon Mar 29 A rainy day. Henry went to Hartford in the morning on the Silver Star.
Tue Mar 30 Rainy. Mrs Carlos Warner a daughter born.
Wed Mar 31 Cloudy, rained some. Cleared off at night.
