INDEX

Notes

!Amos and his brother Dexter both enlisted and went on active duty together. Amos died of Typhus at Camp Buckingham before The 26 Regt Inf Co C left for Louisiana. His occupation was listed as "soldier". There is evidence in Elizabeth Ely Lord's journals that suggests that Amos died before he reached Camp Buckingham. He must have musterend for active duty and been sent home ill from Norwich, CT. Journal entries speak of his illness and death and of his funeral.
