Notes
He was a shoemaker, a free will baptist and served on the Finance
Committee of his church. He served in the Civil War with the 31st Maine
Volunteers, as a private in Co. I; he enlisted March 2, 1864 and was
discharged at the close of the WAr, in 1865. He had lived in Hallowell,
Lewiston, Auburn, and Gardiner Me, and in Lynn Mass. On his death he
lived in Richmond, ME.
