Sat Jan 1 1870 Pleasant morning, commenced to rain about 2 o'clock P.M. & rained all night. Bell & Edna came up on Silver Star. Mrs Rood & little girl, Emma Lousie, callled.

Sun Jan 2 A very stormy day. Wind blows hard this evening.

Mon Jan 3 Pleasant. went to the dress makers & did some shopping. Richard Brockway & Margeruetta married in Hamburgh church.

Tue Jan 4 Pleasant. Miss Treat cut a (bari----) for Mr Sewell.

Wed Jan 5 Some snow squals. Silver Star came as far as Middletown & returned of account of ice. Called on Mrs Walkley. The band played, so Archie says.

Fri Jan 7 It is quite cold today. Bell came on the Silver Star.

Sat Jan 8 Snowed. Clear to-night. Silver Star did not come up so Bell returned home via Middletown. Called at Mrs Rood's.

Sun Jan 9 Clear & cold. Attended a Russian concert in Allyn Hall in the evening.

Mon Jan 10 Snowed.

Tue Jan 11 Pleasant. Archie & I took a walk in the morning to the Skating Rink. This evening we went down with Henry, Colt's band played.

Wed Jan 12 Rained some. Mr Frederick Ely & Mrs Wilson here in the evening. Received a letter from Bell.

Thur Jan 13 Showery. I sewed.

Fri Jan 14 Snowed little all day.

Sat Jan 15 Misty. Rains hard this evening. Archie and I went to the Rink this P.M.

Sun Jan 16 Pleasant. Went to Christ Church in the morning. Called on Mrs Lee at the Allyn House.

Mon Jan 17 Rainy. Archie not very well last night and to-day.

Tue Jan 18 Pleasant. Archie quite unwell.

Wed Jan 19 Pleasant. Archie better in the morning and we took a walk. He is not as well to-night, he received a letter today from Illione & Edna.

Thur Jan 20 Archie worse last night, sent for Dr. Curtis, he thought he might have the measles.

Fri Jan 21 Archie better, did not have the measles.

Sat Jan 22 Mild weather for the season. The 8th anniversary of our marriage.

Sun Jan 23 Am sick with a cold. Archie better.

Mon Jan 24 Am better, Archie not as well.

Tue Jan 25 Archie better. He received a letter from Lizzie Williams, Northampton. Rainy.

Wed Jan 26 Pleasant. Morning Archie & I took a walk.

Thur Jan 27 A very pleasant day. No snow or ice to be seen. Went to walk morning and afternoon.

Fri Jan 28 Pleasant. Moved into No 165 &166. Took a walk.

Sat Jan 29 Snowed.

Sun Jan 30 Snowed little in the evening, very pleasant to-day. Evening Henry & I went to hear the Rev. M. Skinner deliver a lecture to Young Men on Female Society, very good.

Mon Jan 31 Snowed some.
