March 1870 Tue Mar 1 Cloudy morning, clear afternoon, windy.
Wed Mar 2 Pleasant. Mr James Ely of Thompsonville took dinner with me.
Thur Mar 3 Cloudy. Snowed a little all day.
Fri Mar 4 Snowed some.
Sat Mar 5 Cloudy, snowed little. Called this A.M. into Prof. Reilly's Dancing Hall and saw the juveniles dance.
Sun Mar 6 Cloudy morning, pleasant afternoon. Morning Archie & I went to church to The Centre.
Mon Mar 7 Snowed all day.
Tue Mar 8 Pleasant. Archie went a sleigh riding with Mr & Mrs Rood in the morning.
Wed Mar 9 Clear, cold & windy. Received a letter from Mrs Ely & Bell.
Thur Mar 10 1870 Tue Mar 1 Cloudy morning, clear afternoon, windy.
Fri Mar 11 Cloudy most of the day. Am nearly sick with a cold.
Sat Mar 12 Cloudy, snow. Felt better to-night. Attended theater this evening in the Opera House play "Fran Fran" Miss (----------) as "Fran Fran"
Sun Mar 13 Snowed all day.
Mon Mar 14 Pleasant. Archie & I took a long walk, went up to Robert's & got a bouquet.
Tue Mar 15 Snowed all day a terrible stormy day. Received a letter from Mother.
Wed Mar 16 Made a green & black waterproof suit for Archie.
Thur Mar 17 Snowed. Mrs Geo. Ives and Kitty called. Cut out an overcoat for Archie of Tricot.
Fri Mar 18 Cloudy most of the day. George Ely called. Finished Archie's cold cape. Called on Mrs Tuttle.
Sat Mar 19 Pleasant. Afternoon Archie & I went down to the rink.
Sun Mar 20 A very pleasant day. Morning Archie & I went to the Park church, heard the Rev. Mr Geo. B. Newcomb of New Haven preach.
Mon Mar 21 Cloudy, rained some.
Tue Mar 22 Pleasant. Mrs Frederick Ely spent the day here.
Wed Mar 23 Blustering. Sewed.
Thur Mar 24 Cold & blustering.
Fri Mar 25 Clear & cold. Morning went over to the Allyn House & called.
Sat Mar 26 Pleasant. Archie and I took a walk down to the Silver Star, she makes her first trip down to-day.
Sun Mar 27 A stormy day, snowed most of the time, but melting fast as it fell to the ground.
Mon Mar 28 A rainy day.
Tue Mar 29 Cloudy. Finished off a blue cloth suit for Archie. P.M. Archie & I took a walk.
Wed Mar 30 Cloudy. Archie sick with a cold.
Thur Mar 31 Very pleasant. Archie, Henry & I came home on Silver Star. Mother up to East Haddam.
