Sun Jun 1 Bell and I went to Hamburgh to church. Wm Tracey & Addie Palmer married in East Haddam.
Mon Jun 2 Mailed my 14th letter to Henry, my 1 to New Orleans. Washed
Tue Jun 3 Afternoon commenced to quilt a bed quilt - star.
Wed Jun 4 A very stormy day. I quilted.
Thur Jun 5 Aunt Mary Ann came over in the forenoon to make a visit. Lenora Chapel and Harriet Tooker helped me quilt in the afternoon. Ellen went to East Haddam in the evening, from there she will go to Manchester. Lenora 22 years old.
Fri Jun 6 Finished off my quilt at 12 noon. Aunt Mary Ann left in the afternoon. Wm (Slfimen) died of consumption.
Sat Jun 7 Commenced to work Oscar a pair of slippers.
of us started together. Mailed my 11th letter to Henry.
Sun Jun 9 Wrote a letter to Louise Strickland
Mon Jun 9 1862 Mother and I washed, I finished off Oscar's slippers.
Tue Jun 10 Forenoon ironed, afternoon quilted me a comfortable.
Wed Jun 11 Sewed. Nothing new today. Mr.. Griffin and Gertrude Lord married.
Thu Jun 12 Helped Mother sew. Mrs. Chapel spent the afternoon here.
Fri Jun 13 Helped Mother sew.
Sat Jun 14 Sewed. Received 5 papers from Henry. Called at Mrs. Miner's & Nell Brockway's.
Sun Jun 15 Towards night Mrs.. E.C.G. Brockway and Mrs. Willey called. Bell went to Hadlyme from there to Mt. Parnarssus.
Mon 16 We washed.
Tue 17 Received 7 letters from New Orleans.
Wed Jun 18 Mailed my 15th, 16th, & 17th letters to Henry. Mrs. Albee, Mrs. Langdon, Mrs. Nancy Damon, Loera Chapel and Celia Brockway called.
Thu Jun 19 Made one pair of pants and finished off another pair. Sterling arrived at night from Hartford, Ellen came in her.
Fri Jun 20 Finished embroidering my pillow cases. Ellen Brockway called. Mother went to Essex, did house work most of the time.
Sat Jun 21 1862 Baked, did other house work and sewed some. Received a letter from Henry.
Sun Jun 22 Pleasant.
Mon Jun 23 Washed. Mr. Post tinned the roof to the verandah. Mailed my 18 letter to Henry.
Tue Jun 24 Received 4 letters from Henry & 3 papers, also a paper from Dexter Lord. H sent Bell a rebel valentine.
Wed Jun 25 Quilted. A rainy day mostly. Finished off a pair of socks in the evening.
Thur Jun 26 Made Eddie a pair of pants in the morning, afternoon quilted. Received 2 papers from Henry.
Fri Jun 27 Mailed my 19th letter to Henry. Uncle Calvin and Orrice and Lucy Ann spent the day here. Leora and Ellen Brockway helped Ellen quilt in the afternoon. Ellen got off one quilt in the morning and put another on. At night I went over to Harriet Tookers to spend the night.
Sat Jun 28 Morning Mrs. Warner and I called at Aunt Mary Anns, at night came home, called on Mary Leavy.
Sun Jun 29 Morning received a letter from Henry. Evening Bell sent my slippers and Henry's home.
Mon Jun 30 1862 Forenoon quilted. Afternoon went to Ceclia Brockway's & cut a dress.
