
Thur June 1 Cloudy most of the day. Henry painted on the house. I sewed on Bell's dress. Oscar here to supper, he fished with Timothy Warner for shad, they are quite plenty this season.
Fri June 2 Cloudy morning, warm the rest of the day. Belle & Mother came home on the Silver Star. Mr Hamilton came too. Henry finished painting the house nearly. Oscar here to supper.
Sat June 3 A very warm day. Belle & I sewed on her new sun dress.
Sun June 4 Warm, some showers to-night & very bright here.
Mon June 5 Warm morning, cooler this P.M. Belle & Mr Hamilton took the Star in the morning. Henry went to Hartford & back. Father Lord & Mrs (Davidate) Tooker called. Alice Tooker Daniels called this evening. Mother & I called at Mr Zebulon Warner's. We washed.
Tue June 6 Little cool. Ironed in the forenoon and sewed on Bell's white dress in the afternoon.
Wed June 7 Pleasant. Afternoon Mother went to Hamburgh with Oscar. Henry & I partly covered a lounge. Belle 4 months old and weighs 14 1/4 lbs. Raising of the Oakum factory below Mrs Damon's.
Thur June 8 Cloudy most of the day, rained some last night. I sewed on Bell's white dress. Mother came home this P.M.
Fri June 9 Pleasant. Henry went to Hartford & back on the Star. I sewed for Bell.
Sat June 10 Pleasant. Made a shirt for Eddie. Henry & Archie went to Hamburgh & back.
Sun June 11 Cloudy, showers to-night & a bright rainbow after one.
Mon June 12 Rainy forenoon, cleared off & was pleasant afternoon. Sewed some on Bell's dress & cut a shirt for Henry & waist for Archie. Mother cleaned the boys bedroom. Vettie called this P.M. & was here to tea. Henry to Hartford on the Star.
Tue June 13 Pleasant, we washed. Henry painted on the woodhouse.
Wed June 14 Pleasant. Ironed some in the morning. this P.M. Mother & I called on Mr Harvey Hall.
Thurs June 15 Rainy morning. Pleasant afternoon. Henry went to Hamburgh & back.
Fri June 16 1871 Pleasant. Henry went to Hartford on the Silver Star. Belle & Edna came home to-night. Mrs Bassett, Nett & Mr Hamilton came home with them.
Sat June 17 Pleasant. Oscar & Nett came up this afternoon. Had strawberries for tea, the Mr Hamilton brought from his garden.
Sun June 18 A very rainy day.
Mon June 19 Cloudy morning & most of the afternoon. Clear to-night. Company all went on the boat this evening. Henry went to Lyme with Oscar & Tim Warner, then took Mother, baby & I over to Hamburgh, we walked down to Uncle Wms & had strawberries. Henry was home with his wife, they were married last Jan. in New Haven. She was sick with fever & ague. Nett went down there with us, then came home with us to go to Hartford from here in the morning.
Tue June 20 Cloudy most of the day, thunder showers this evening. Mother, Nett & Henry went to Hartford & back on the Silver Star. Eddie went to East Haddam yesterday morning, returned to-night with a new cow from Loss Mack.
Wed June 21 Pleasant. Henry went to Essex with Nett.
Thur June 22 Pleasant. Mrs Diodate Tooker, Mrs Timothy Warner & Mrs Edward Brockway called.
Fri June 23 Pleasant. Henry and Archie went to Saybrook & back. Finished off Bell's dress.
Sat June 24 Showery. Made Belle a sunbonnet.
Sun June 25 Pleasant. Ellen & Loss came down & Henry, baby and I went home with them.
Mon June 26 Pleasant. Loss & Henry went to Hartford & back.
Tue June 27 Pleasant. To-night Loss, Ellen, Henry & I took a ride to the landing & back.
Wed June 28 Pleasant. Ellen Ely called out this P.M.
Thur June 29 Pleasant. Henry went home & to Essex & back. Archie came up with him. I went out to Ellen Ely's and spent the day.
Fri June 30 Pleasant, cool for the season. Henry, Archie, baby & I took a ride to Moodus & back, saw Ballet. Nettie Bassett, Edna went home to-night.
