Fri Mar 2 I went home after school. Rode up to the P.O. with Mr H Anderson from there home with Mr Rose.
Sat Mar 3 Spent the afternoon at Caroline LaPlace's: Caroline Warner & Emma Warner were there also.
Sun 4 I came to Uncle Wms to-night - Henry spent the evening here. Edna came with me.
Mon 5 I spent the night at Mr Benajah Bill's.
Tue 6 Went to a spiritual lecture in the evening delivered by Miss Emma Harding after lecture called at Mr Thomas brockway's Henry Lord called with me & escorted me home.
Wed 7 I went to Uncle Horaces from school and took tea with Aunt Emma & Mother from there I went to hear Miss Harding lecture again. Henry escorted me home.
Thu 8 I spent the night at Mr John Bills, called at Mr Benajah Bills in the evening.
Fri 9 Aunt Emma & I spent the evening at Miss Mary Russels.
Sat 10 Henry Lord spent the evening here.
Sun 11 I went to church with Mrs Caroline Peck. In the evening I went to Lyme Hotel with Henry to see his people.
Mon 12 Was intending to go to Salem in the evening but on account of the weather did not.
Tue eve. Henry Lord spent the eve here. Elmer spent the night.
Wed 14 My school closed in the afternoon, I have No 53 pupils and average of 30. In the evening I went over to Mr Henry LaPlace's to the Society from there went to Aunt Mary Ann's and spent the night.
Thu 15 A beautiful day. I came to Uncle Wms in the morning: in the afternoon went down to Mr ohn Sterlings with Mrs Lucy Brockway & Aunt Emma Aunt Emma & I went to the singing school in the evening.
Fri 16 Aunt Emma and I went up to Aunt Mary Anns and called & she went with us to Mrs Browns and spent the afternoon. In the evening I went to Salem with Henry Lord and attended a concert to Mr Whittleseys. It was a beautiful evening and I enjoyed it much. I spent the night to Uncle Wms.
Sat 17 I came home in the morning. Father's 50th birth day.
Sun 18 Eddie 4 years old.
Mon 19 Washing day at home.
Tue Mar 20 Rufus Phelps spent the afternoon here and Ellen & I went to concert with in the Congregational church Hadlyme. I called on Mrs Philenda Gates & walked with her to the concert. The concert was given by the singers of Hadlyme.
Wed 21 Edward Williams & Philenda, Mary Jane Hull & Philippi Doane spent the day here.
Fri 23 I spent the afternoon at Emma Warner's and evening at Mrs Annie Warners.
Sun 25 Have been most sick with a cold for several days. Heber came home in the morning. Henry Lord spent the evening here.
Mon 26 Washing day. I spent the evening over to Mr Ulysses Warner's.
Tue 27 Helped work about the house.
Wed 28 The Union Society met here. There were a large number here. Henry stopped a while after the Society closed and Aunt Mary Ann & Uncle Ansel spent the night.
Thu 29 A pleasant day.
Fri 30 Elbert Buckingham died about 1/2 past 12 of the fever aged 19. In the early blush of manhood his spirit took its flight.
Sat 31 Mar closed beautifully. A cloud has not appeared to my sight for two day's but it is very smokey, yet that is something that often occurs at this season of the year.
