Sat Nov 1 Another beautiful day. Afternoon & evening spent at Mrs (Tinleys) with Mr. & Mrs. (Ca--er) A pleasant evening.
Sun Nov 2 Went to church. Mr. Pike preached. Spent the evening at Mrs (Carriers). Another beautiful day. Warm for the season.
Mon Nov 3 Left Marlboro at 15 m. past 10 A.M. and arrived home [23 miles] at 30 m. past 2 P.M. A pleasant day. Evening played cards.
Tue Nov 4 Another pleasant day. Mother went to Hamburgh.
Wed Nov 5 Henry & I went to Essex in the afternoon. Evening Mother came home. Worked on a hat for Sarah Comstock.
Thur Nov 6 Father & Henry went to Hamburgh. Finished Sarah's hat.
Fri Nov 7 An unpleasant day. Snowed, hailed and rained at night. 2 inches of snow on ground.
Sat Nov 8 Father & Henry went to Essex. Sterling arrived from N.Y.
Sun Nov 9 A stormy day.
Mon Nov 10 Forenoon washed. Afternoon sewed at Nell. Mrs Alexander Pratt died aged 39. Heber & Henry went to Hamburgh.
Tue Nov 11 Sterling sailed for Hartford at 1/2 past 10 A.M. Henry went up too.
Wed Nov 12 We cleaned kitchen. Loss called in the evening. Heard the Sterling arrived in Hartford this morning. McClellan superceded, three cheers.
Thur Nov 13 Cleaned my room and sewed.
Fri Nov 14 Sewed. Cut a dress for Mother.
Sat Nov 15 Finished Mother's dress. Made some cake. Henry, Oscar & Bell came home in the evening.
Sun Nov 16 Henry, Bell and I went to church to Hamburgh in the afternoon.
Mon Nov 17 Stormy. Sewed. Loss came in the evening and spent the night. Augustus Conklin and Louisa Pratt married.
Tue Nov 18 Morning 10 o'clock Ellen and Loss married, left at 11 for Middletown, Hartford &c. Married by E. F. Burr. Called on Aunt Polly & Sally. Went to Essex with Henry.
Wed Nov 19 Rained, evening Uncle Jacob and Heber called.
Thur Nov 20 Rained part of the day. Henry & I arrived home at noon. Uncle Jacob took dinner here. Bell went to Society at Nell's.
Fri Nov 21 A very stormy day. Finished Bell's dress which I cut yesterday.
Sat Nov 22 Henry went to Lyme & back, found Amos quite sick. Uncle Jacob & Aunt Emeline & Henry came here. Sun Nov 23 pleasant. Mrs. Adeline Brockway & Nett spent the evening here. Henry went to Hamburgh to church half a day.
Mon Nov 24 Pleasant. Henry went to Lyme. Uncle & Aunt went to Capt.. Post's . Mother & Bell went up and called.
Tue Nov 25 We washed. afternoon Bell went to Hamburgh. Evening Henry came home. He hurt him this morning. Amos not as well. A dead body found in the river supposed to have been drowned by violence. Pleasant.
Wed Nov 26 Stormy part of the day. Henry went to Lyme. Bell came home in the evening.
Thur Nov 27 Thanksgiving. Uncle Jacob, Aunt Emeline Heber, Loss & Ellen spent the day here. Aunt E & Uncle spent the night. Had turkey, chicken &c. Henry did not come up. Edna went to a party. Pleasant.
Fri Nov 28 Afternoon Uncle J, Aunt E & Mother went to Essex. Night Bell left for New Britian.
Sat Nov 29 Morning 10 o'clock Henry came home. Amos died at 1/2 past 2 aged 20. I went to Lyme with Henry, arrived there at 12:30 noon.
Sun Nov 30 1 O'clock P.M. Funeral attended at the church. Script: Matthew 24 77th, "Be ye also ready" Sermon preached by Edw Denison. Mrs Brainerd was present.
