Tue Nov 1 Very pleasant. Mrs (Diodate) Tooker spent the afternoon here.
Wed Nov 2 Pleasant. Mother, Eddie, Archie & I attended Jimmie Brockway's funeral at 2 o'clock P.M.
Thur Nov 3 Thunder showers, one hard, one wind blew very hard.
Fri Nov 4 Pleasant. Wind blew a good breeze down the river. Mrs Zebulon Warner a 4th daughter born. Henry came home at 8:30 P.M. Sat Nov 5 1870 Cloudy morning, then rained. Beautiful moon-light evening. Bell & I went to Hartford and back. Took dinner with Mrs Miner.
Sun Nov 6 A beautiful day & evening. Henry arrived home about mid-day via of Lyme & left soon after to Hartford via East Haddam. Bell went as far as Loss with him.
Mon Nov 7 Cloudy most of the day. Eddie went to East Haddam. Cut a dress for Edna.
Tue Nov 8 Archie & I came to Lyme to-night with Nellie and Jimmie. Henry came over from Saybrook to-night to lead Jimmie over in the morning. All well here at Sarah's.
Wed Nov 9 Archie & I came home. Hennie Comstock came with us to take the team back. Cloudy, rained this evening.
Thur Nov 10 Clear. Wind blew hard down the river.
Fri Nov 11 Wind blew down the river. Oscar came over, is through fishing. Willie came up and took a load of goods to Saybrook for me, preparitory to my moving there.
Sat Nov 12 Henry came home this evening.
Sun Nov 13 Note due at Bank, four hundred dollars. Henry went to Saybrook to-night.
Mon Nov 14 Mother & I went to Hartford, selected furniture, carpets &c for housekeeping purposes. Pleasant, cloudy some. Willie took a load to Saybrook.
Tue Nov 15 Pleasant. Washed & packed to leave. Oscar & Nett came up to-night.
Wed Nov 16 Pleasant. Oscar & Nett went to Hartford on Silver Star. Willie came after us this afternoon and we moved to Saybrook to live. Arrived after dark & it was cold.
Thur Nov 17 Cold. Cleaned some and regulated some. Bothered about finding help & found I had a dirty house to (regulate).
Fri Nov 18 Quite cold. Succeeded in procuring help this P.M. My hands are sore from cleaning yesterday and I am lame. Lady Fenwick remains being taken up, interred 222 years, and hair & bones found.
Sat Nov 19 A cold day. A woman helped me this P.M. We made a rag carpet which Mother gave me and put it down in the dining room.
Sun Nov 20 Clear & quite cold. Did not go to church. Wrote to Mother, Ellen & Bell. Received a letter from Bell, Pitt Ely's wife died last Friday night of consumption.
Mon Nov 21 Pleasant. Willie went home & brought down a load of wood. Mrs Roxie came & cleaned house for me.
Tue Nov 22 Cloudy, rained some. Mrs Roxie cleaned again. Rainy & dark this evening.
Wed Nov 23 Very windy after a stormy night. Lady Fenwick's remains interred in the cemetery near here and a ceremony performed.
Thur Nov 24 Thanksgiving. Windy, rather cold, clear most of the day. We took a ride to Father Lord's Centerbrook and took a 4 o'clock supper, had a good time. Mother Lord gave us a turkey stuffed and baked to bring home with us.
Fri Nov 25 Very pleasant. Dr. King buried. Mrs & Mrs Rankin called this evening.
Sun Nov 27 Very pleasant. We rode home & Edna came back with us.
Mon Nov 28 Pleasant. Mrs Roxie washed here.
Tue Nov 29 Pleasant. Rained last night. This P.M. Edna, Willie & I with Archie went over onto the Hotel grounds. Wayland came here to-night.
Wed Nov 30 Pleasant. Wayland went home to-night, Edna went to her home with him. Mrs Bailey called.
