Wed Nov 1 Rainy. I ironed and commenced a hood for Belle of white merino.
Thu Nov 2 Pleasant. Henry went to Hamburgh & Deep River. I finished Belle's hood. Helped Mother clean pantry & sewed on shirts.
Fri Nov 3 Windy. Henry, Archie, Belle & I came to Centerbrook. Libbie came after us.
Sat Nov 4 Pleasant. Mrs Cheney & I spent the afternoon at Mrs Jerome Bushnells.
Sun Nov 5 Pleasant.
Mon Nov 6 Pleasant, but cool. I sewed & helped bake a little.
Tue Nov 7 Henry went to Essex & over home. Quite cool. Belle 9 months old and weighs 20 1/2 lbs.
Wed Nov 8 Pleasant, but cool. Henry went to Hartford & back.
Thu Nov 9 Pleasant. Libbie & I went to Hartford and back.
Fri Nov 10 A rainy day & night. Had an invitation to Eugene Comstocks wedding this evening, but on account of the storm it is put off till Monday evening.
Sat Nov 11 Very windy and quite cold. This A.M. called to Aunt Eliza's and then came home, Libbie came with us.
Sun Nov 12 Windy & cold. Henry & I took a ride over to Oscar's to-night, wrote to Belle this evening.
Mon Nov 13 Clear & cold for the season. We washed & I cut an all wool delaine dress for Edna. Henry went to Hartford.
Tue Nov 14 Cloudy, rained some. Henry came home from Hartford to-night.
Wed Nov 15 A rainy day, rained & blew very hard last night. Sewed for Edna.
Thu Nov 16 Cloudy. Rained little. Received a letter from Belle & Edna. Henry went to Hamburgh & back.
Fri Nov 17 Pleasant. Henry went to Deep River & back. Mother went to East Haddam. Archie cut his knee this P.M. with a coopers adz.
Sat Nov 18 Pleasant. Henry went to Hamburgh & back. Received a letter from Belle & also Libbie Lord.
Sun Nov 19 Pleasant. Loss & Winona came home with Mother.
Mon Nov 20 Rainy.
Tue Nov 21 Pleasant. Henry went to Hartford. We washed. P.M. I called up to Mr Wm Brockway's. Vettie Lord and Charlie Molly called about 9 o'clock this evening to bring a letter to Henry.
Wed Nov 22 Snowed this A.M. early. Pleasant this P.M. Mrs Harriet Warner called. Henry came to-night. Heard the steamboat City of New London was burned just below Norwich, last night or this A.M.
Thu Nov 23 Pleasant. Libbie Ely came over, heard Wm Pitt Ely was missing from the steamer, City of New London, he was second mate.
Fri Nov 24 Rainy. Wm Pitt Ely funeral was attended this P.M. in Hamburgh. Mother & Libbie went over, also Henry. He jumped from the steamer to swim on shore, but it was so cold and snowy, that he suffered and was drowned. Edna came home this evening from New Britain Normal school.
Sat Nov 25 Pleasant. Sewed for Edna.
Sun Nov 26 Cloudy, rained some at night.
Mon Nov 27 Cloudy most of the time. Cold. Henry & I took a rideup to Loss & spent afternoon & evening.
Wed Nov 29 Snowed this A.M. and was cold. Mr Hamilton, Belle, Louie, Katie came home on the Star.
Thu Nov 30 All went over to Nett's to Thanksgiving. Very cold, freezing fast. Star came up far as Oakum dock, could not get no farther on account of ice in the river. Hiram Brockway came home last night, injured by a stone falling onto him. Mother, Henry & Eddie came home to-night.
