 Daniel Lord (1673)

Daniel Lord, son of William, was born in 1673 and remained in Old Saybrook where it is noted in the town records for 1702 and 1711 that he was a weaver. In May and February pf 1718/19 he is mentioned as a clothier. He married Alice Wheeler of East Hampton, Long Island daughter of Captain John and Alice Wheeler. Daniel and Alice had five children: Daniel born in East Hampton May 22, 1704, Phebe also born in East Hampton on May 25, 1707, Jeremiah born in Saybrook April 17, 1707, Sarah born June 28, 1713 and John born April 23, 1716. John died November 16, 1784.

Daniel and Phebe apparently lived in East Hampton on Long Island during the time their first two children were born. The births of Jeremiah, Sarah and John are recorded on page 124 volume two of the Old Saybrook Vital Records.
